A Christmas video mapping on Alcúdia’s medieval city walls for the Christmas lights switch-on, together with Trui.
I want something like thisThe project
For Alcúdia’s 2024 Christmas lights switch-on we projected, together with Trui, a Christmas video mapping on the town’s medieval walls: battlements, towers and gate turned into a big Christmas stage.
A monument as a screen
Projecting on a city wall means adapting the content to an irregular stone surface with battlements and openings. The design follows the monument’s silhouette so the animation fits every tower and the arch of the gate.
A tradition
It was not the first time: in 2021 we also produced the mapping for Alcúdia’s Christmas switch-on. The photo on this page is from that edition and the video from 2024.
